Can you spare a gal a prayer….

In Experience, Manage, Mind, Religion on November 11, 2010 at 3:14 pm

Not to make this all about me, but my ten year old granddaughter is going into surgery sometime soon. I have to be in three places at once and I need some prayers that all this fits it into my crazy schedule. That sounds soooooo bad, but I just have to be there.

So here’s the order of prayers. After all, while you’re there praying it might as well be more then one prayer.  Hey you got his attention.  Oh and if you want to slip one in for yourself, more power to you.

  1. First, please pray for her, she’s being so brave. She stepped on a needle and it broke off into her foot and lodged into the bone. If you look at the picture it’s in the bottom, middle.  Just a white line.  She did this last week and has been hobbling around on crutches for a while. No complaints on her part.  She’s my hero.
  2. Second, I have payroll and some very angry men who don’t understand that I may not be there for their checks because of the surgery. What’s so hard to understand that their kids might not get fed tonight, or their ex-wife doesn’t ger her alimony check, or their girlfriend on the side doesn’t get to be spoiled this week.  I mean really. Who’s being selfish now.
  3. Third, I’m selling a house for someone I said I would help out over ten years ago and became care taker for two houses and all his finances, and his business, all without pay. They are doing the final walk thru today and inspection.  If everything goes well, I will not have to be involved with this man ever, ever again (except for the 400 lb, hand carved Jade Buddha he left behind that I have nicely tucked away) But I’m suppose to be there too. Maybe if I take a shower it will help. Remember the gremlins, don’t get them wet or they will multiply.

Glass Half full/empty, Yin/Yang effect:

  1. My grandaughter is learning that she has to clean her room so you don’t step on a needle
  2. The doctor hands out some great prescription pills. How else do you think I’m handling all this.
  3. People really love you when you have control over their pay checks.
  4. Don’t believe everything you see in the movies (Gremlins – nice thought though)
  5. You always have something to smile about for amusement…… Yourself.

Hello world!

A Glass Half Full of Yin and Yang

I guess first impressions count here too, so here I go.  I’m a mother of three, and a grandmother of many.  I’m supposed to know everything, even more than a mother, and have so many words of wisdom.  I’m supposed to give my opinion, but don’t bud in.  Supposed to guide my children in the right direction, but don’t tell them anything.  Stop fights between siblings, while not taking sides.   Take care of many financially, but don’t leave the house to get a job.  Be in two places at one time, but give all my attention to the one place I am.  Wear my super hero cape, but not take it off to wash it.  And there you have me in a paragraph.

So many thoughts are streaming into my mind of what this blog should be about that I’m trying to corral them into one direction.  But the world is so crazy right now and everything is negative that I figured I should at least try to give back some positive thinking into the karma of the world.  So here we go, off to see the wizard on my own yellow brick road.
